My Motto: “It’s fun to try hard.”
Baseball has been more than a game to me—it’s been a journey of growth, determination, and passion that has shaped who I am today.
When I graduated high school at 5’10” and 155 pounds (small for an 18 year old), I knew I wasn’t ready to give up on my baseball dreams. I redshirted at Santa Rosa Junior College, dedicating myself to training, growing, and embracing the challenges ahead. By the end of that season, I had transformed—standing at 6’1” and 175 pounds.
The physical transformation was only part of the story. During that redshirt year, I began to develop the strong mentality and mindset required to succeed at the collegiate level. I learned what it truly meant to work hard, to stay focused on my goals, and to trust in the process even when things weren’t going my way. That year also taught me about brotherhood and the sacrifices needed to win as a team. It all came together when we won the California Junior College State Championship the next season in 2016—a memory I’ll carry forever.
After my time at Santa Rosa, I was fortunate to receive a scholarship to Briar Cliff University in Sioux City, Iowa, where I finished off my final two years playing college baseball. I had the honor of being the everyday first baseman, and I embraced every moment! Whether it was playing with a smile on my face, hustling like a mad man, or being a resilient teammate, I can say with confidence I left it all out on the field and loved every moment of it. I was awarded Most Valuable Player on my team and received all Conference recognitions with a .356 Batting average, while finishing with just 1 error earning me the Golden Glove award at first base.
Even after my college career ended and my professional opportunities dried up, I couldn’t walk away from baseball. I continued to play in a competitive men’s league, where a teammate recognized my passion for the game and invited me to start coaching youth baseball with him. That opportunity opened a door I didn’t even know I wanted to walk through—and I’ve been coaching and mentoring young athletes ever since!
2 years later, I’m now running 1-on-1 lessons, group clinics, online coaching, and managing multiple travel baseball teams for players ages 7+. For me, coaching isn’t just about baseball—it’s about helping young athletes learn how to overcome challenges, deal with their emotions, and develop confidence in themselves all while falling in love with the game of baseball!
Coach Jesse
Assistant Coach / Baseball Specialist / Mentor
I have been immersed in baseball since the first time I picked up a bat and ball as a toddler. Growing up in Sonoma and Marin counties, I played at Casa Grande High School before advancing to Santa Rosa Junior College, where I excelled as a first baseman and pitcher.
Unfortunately, an early career-ending back injury in 2019 shifted my path, but my passion for the game remained strong. I transitioned to coaching under Damon Neidlinger at Santa Rosa Junior College, where I honed my skills until 2022. Currently, I serve as the head freshman coach at Archie Williams High School, where I am dedicated to developing young athletes into not only skilled players, but also upstanding individuals. In addition to team coaching, I have found love doing one-on-one lessons and assisting in group clinics. My commitment to youth development, both on and off the field, reflects my belief that mentoring the next generation and providing them with the tools to succeed in life is my true calling.
In my free time, I’m most likely watching, discussing, or competitively playing baseball, further fueling my lifelong love for the game.
